This month really did fly on by and I feel like I just put together March's layout! It was a good month here for the Golinski's, lots of nice sunny weather toward the end and lots of growing for little man. He is becoming more little boy and less baby everyday and it is awesome to get to watch him do it!
Not sure if you've noticed, but I am alternating the layout each month so that I can use the back of the page protectors. This kind of bugged me at first just because I had it all laid out in my head with the monthly word recap on the left and the smaller photos on the right, but I am over it (mostly).
You should be able to read (if you can decipher my handwriting) most of what went on this April. I am thinking of changing up some of the prompts starting with May as I find myself not really using some of them, but we'll see. I also need to make one to start using for our little girl once she gets here (which could be as early as May) that is more fitting for a newborn.
Just doing one recap layout for the month doesn't leave much room for embellishment, which depending on how I feel can be good or bad. I chose a card that I designed for the May--This Life Noted kit from Scraptastic Club for the center card and then just went with the red heart theme.
I wrote a little about each photo using part of a watercolor painting he did as the background. I love incorporating pieces of his artwork into the layouts. I am going to add a pocket of sorts for some of the Easter cards he got too.
