This is my second layout for my pick-a-product series and instead of choosing a specific product type I chose to go with a specific product color, more specifically yellow :) I did this to show the different ways there are to pick a product. This was a tricky layout for me because after choosing the color yellow and going through my stash to gather supplies, I realized I did not have that many things that were yellow :) But forward I went.
I did an 8.5 x 11 layout so it would fit into Derek's album and used an extra large photo I took of our front door the week we moved in. The story I wanted to tell was of the events that would take place in our new space. I used a 3x4 card I had with the word story already cut out of it as a mask with yellow paint directly on the photo and I LOVE how that turned out. I have a whole set of those cards and will be using this technique again. Then I just added a variety of embellishments to complete the title.
Here is a close-up of the journaling I did. And can I just say how much I love those little puffy heart stickers?! I have used them on a TON of layouts and they are almost gone :( I will need to find some more for sure!
Here's a view of the whole layout. I really like how it turned out and again, choosing one type of product to focus on pushed my creativity and the layout came together a lot faster.
