To be honest, I did not spend a lot of time thinking about my word or taking steps toward incorporating it into my life this month. It has been a VERY busy month for our family with a big move from Michigan to Fargo, North Dakota and I have also spent half of this month with an icky cold (that I am still not over) so my mind has been elsewhere.
That said I think that the task for this month of creating a vision board related to our word was a perfect assignment as it didn't really involve a lot of soul searching and self reflection.
I spent the first half of the month cutting and trimming and the second half arranging and pasting (well not actual pasting. Do people still use paste?). When I first read that this was what we were doing this month I thought I was going to be way more into it than I actually was. I was sort of bummed with my selection of magazines and couldn't settle on what size to make it, so I finally just went with what I found and that added up to about an 8.5" x 11" sheet of cardstock. A lot of other people taking the workshop (Ali included) put together a big canvas with their word front and center to hang on their wall. Since we live in a smaller apartment now, and my desk space is in the middle of the living room, which is already full of wall decor, I decided to make something that I could just slip into my album.
And here is the finished product! Tada! I am actually pretty happy with how it came out considering I wasn't too inspired going into it. I chose not to put my actual word on there because I thought it would look too busy and I really liked being able to read all the other stuff I cut out. I think it will act as good reminder of what I am trying to focus on when I am looking through my album. I am looking forward to next month since Ali hinted to us that we would be diving a little deeper into how we can incorporate our word into our lives.
